Heel Surgery

Pain in the heels of the foot can make even walking difficult. Unfortunately, heel pain is relatively common.

Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain. In this condition, the plantar fascia, or connective tissue on the bottom of the foot, becomes inflamed and irritated, resulting in pain in the heel that limits mobility. Heel spurs are also a common cause of heel pain, developing as a result of stress on the muscles of the foot. Patients who suffer from one or both of these conditions can often benefit from heel surgery.

Heel surgery is an effective means of treating pain caused by heel spurs, plantar fasciitis or any other condition. It is oftentimes the only means of correcting chronic heel pain.
